Calculates Small-scale Technology Certificates for Solar PV systems and Battery STCs for battery
storage installations under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
Battery calculations reflect the Cheaper Home Batteries Program STC Factor per kWh of
usable capacity (9.3 Jul–Dec 2025; 8.4 Jan–Apr 2026; 6.8 May–Dec 2026; stepping down to 2.1 by H2 2030),
with the capacity taper 100% / 60% / 15% at 14 / 28 / 50 kWh and a 50 kWh eligible cap.
Solar and battery STCs are rounded down to whole certificates. Verified against the Clean Energy Regulator
entitlements page (cer.gov.au, last updated 30 April 2026); confirm the taper effective date against F2026L00093.

B
Solar PV System
Total rated DC power output. Maximum 100 kW under SRES (over 100 kW falls under the LRET). Leave blank if not installing solar PV.
C
Battery Storage System
Usable capacity (not nominal). Nominal must be 5–100 kWh. Only the first 50 kWh of usable capacity is eligible. Leave blank if not installing a battery.
ℹ
Eligibility: battery must be CEC-listed, installed with either new or existing solar PV,
grid-connected, VPP-capable, compliant with AS/NZS 5139:2019, and installed by an SAA-accredited installer.
Only one battery claim per premises.
